ARCHEMIST IN THE MAKING
As we find ourselves living in an era with the notion of ‘chasing happiness’ and finding meaningful jobs,
we sometimes forget to acknowledge the hard work, emotionally charged moments that are crucial to the
path of achieving our ambitions. Not to mention, the rapid evolution of technologies, potential emerging
fields, and taking leaps of faith has impacted many in their career decisions.
Inspired by conversations on the disparity between education and professional practice; finding ourselves
at crossroads: Is this what you wanted? is a series of discussions with various individuals within the design
industry reflecting on pinnacle moments in their professional journey that has led them to their current
These conversations are not to disregard nor tarnish the reputation of the design industry. Rather, it is to
normalize the notion that ‘it is okay’ to have moments of doubts in our career paths. Sometimes, it isn’t
about happiness, but finding confidence and strength within yourself.
We will do some examinations on the journeys in conquering architecture and dive in some deep
conversations with various professionals about their career explorations in and/or around architecture.
